The styling of the fashion designer’s brand is classic and quirky with an immaculate attention to construction and detail; often featuring interesting surface textures and off-beat patterns. <rt-red>The design response to the small trapezoidal space of the New Delhi store curated those influences through a scheme that involved inserting a rectangular yellow glass cube into a raw, distressed grey shell of exposed bricks.<rt-red>
<rt-red>The yellow translucent glass skin frames the clothes and also serves as a screen for visual merchandising and communication.<rt-red> The insert terminates into tessellated mirror shutters for the storage unit at the rear of the store. The alignment of the shutters allows occasional glimpses of the Qutub Minar located at a distance across the street. Mirrors have also been placed above the racks to reflect the collections, thus cleverly maximising views without creating clutter.
<rt-red>Lighting installations at the back of the mirror facades wash the walls in a warm yellow ambience, starkly contrasting with the textural grey shell. Juxtaposing contradictory environs with reflective elements sculpts the small footprint into a grand design scheme.<rt-red>
